Our Story

The Remnant United is a Christian outreach ministry ordained by God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Great Commission and God’s word to Isaiah 58:12,  "And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of the Streets to Dwell in." In 2018,  the Holy Spirit stirred the hearts of a small body of believers during Bible Study conducted in the homes of Keith and Meldora Beckwith, Daniel and Kelly Sierra, and Akil and Valerie Smith. Together with Herb and Bexy Sierra and Sandy Klingler, these founding members of The Remnant United purposed to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the homeless, sheltered, and incarcerated communities, as well as anyone else outside the church.
Later that year, God opened the door for The Remnant United to preach the gospel to the residents at MUST Ministries. Soon, we began services at the Atlanta Metro Re-Entry Facility. In 2019, we added services at Atlanta Union Mission. We also began many of our outreach programs such as the Annual Coat Drive for the Homeless and providing toiletries for prisons.
The Remnant United operates 100% in the community, untethered by a brick-and-mortar location. We take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the community as God directs us.

The heart of TRU-ATL is outreach. In 2020, we continued ministry services until the COVID-19 quarantine. At that time, we transitioned to our Tuesday night online Bible Study, TRU-Talk Live. In addition to our 2nd Annual Coat Drive, we increased our giving to include backpacks and toiletries for the homeless, laptops and school supplies for children, cookies and encouragement to Cobb County Police, as well as utility bills, car repair, and technology for families in need.

In 2021, The Remnant United purposes to disciple 20 individuals through the wilderness process, to see them delivered out of spiritual bondage through salvation in Jesus Christ, and to help support their needs until they are self-sufficient, walking with the Lord.
